How often do we hear the phrase “first impressions count” and how much do they really, well, count? While life often gives you a second chance at redeeming yourself after a failed first impression, the fact of the matter is that the business world is a little less forgiving. In most cases you might encounter a new potential contact only once, whether at a conference, meeting or workshop – and whether or not they’ll make an effort to keep in touch depends very much on that golden first impression.
