R50A LIFE LESS ORDINARY
Winning mindset
By: Martin Dreyer – Extreme sportsman
WHAT WILL BE COVERED IN THE PRESENTATION?
Belief:
From having been in desperate situations in many International Adventure races 500km long, non-stop, where there seemed no possible way forward, he has surprised himself just how deep you can dig into your inner reserves to achieve the impossible.
What excites Martin is that he believes that many of us can tap into this mental strength to get through these adverse situations and so has a burning ambition to help people to explore that part of their makeup/psyche.
Content:
Light hearted and informal this talk is based on Martin’s life experiences, where he speaks about the key ingredients that have brought him success in his sport and life. The stories he tells are real and captivating and clearly illustrate the value of leadership, goal setting, teamwork, preparation, risk-taking, and disaster management. He speaks about success, failure, overcoming adversity and the value of maintaining a positive attitude. The talk culminates in Martin describing how the “Ultimate Global Adventure”, came down to the last 2 minutes after 28 days of racing. The DVD visuals which accompany this talk give a feeling of real involvement.
