Raj Seeparsad is among the most experienced and well-respected Human Resource Practitioners in the Pietermaritzburg area and KwaZulu Natal.
He is a coach and mentor to several Human Resources Professionals and addresses HR Honours students at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Pmb. & Durban and other institutions on a regular basis and presents papers at the Public Sector HR conference and other related conferences both locally and internationally.
Raj worked in a family business with a staff complement of about 900 workers for almost 28 years. He founded the company’s HR department and trained many HR Practitioners who are successfully employed throughout SA. He is currently employed as the Senior HR Manager for G.U.D. Holdings (Pty) Ltd in Pietermaritzburg who are component manufacturers in the automotive industry.
Raj has diplomas in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Human Relations and Advanced Labour Law. He is a registered Skills Development Facilitator and a member of the PMCB’s Management Board; past 2nd deputy president and member of the Executive Committee. Raj also represents the PMCB at the Department of Labour’s Stakeholders forum. He also serves on the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) stakeholder’s forum. He is the immediate past National President of the Institute of People Management (IPM) (SA).
He is currently the Vice-President of the African Human Resources Confederation (AHRC) and a member of the Management Board of the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA)

As if long service to both his employer and the PMCB, IPM, AHRC and WFPMA is not demanding enough, he serves as an advisor to the various school Governing Bodies in the Northern areas and is involved with various other community organizations.
