ABOUT THE TRAINER
Vanessa is an experienced facilitator with a particular interest in Food Safety Management Systems.
Hounsell Consulting was established in 2017 to evaluate, design, implement and/or maintain the process of work within organisations – facilitating business advancement. Vanessa had been providing training, internal auditing, and consulting services to the food industry for over 6 years.
OVERVIEW
Understand the basic conditions and activities necessary to ensure safe food from farm to fork.
This course will cover the principles & practices of food safety – a R638 requirement.
The R638: REGULATIONS GOVERNING GENERAL HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS FOR FOOD PREMISES, THE TRANSPORT OF FOOD AND RELATED MATTERS, a regulation under the FOODSTUFFS, COSMETICS AND DISINFECTANTS ACT, (ACT NO. 54 OF 1972) requires the person in charge of a food premises to be trained in the principles and practices of food safety.
If your name is on the certificate of acceptability, training is compulsory. You are also required to ensure everyone in your organisation is adequately trained.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This is a perfect introduction course for anyone new to the food industry and mandatory for food business owners and/or managers in a food handling environment.
Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
