AGM
The annual general meeting is the business end of the PMCB, when financials are presented, new office bearers are elected, and matters affecting one of the country’s most active chambers are discussed.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCH
One of the most popular annual events on the PMCB’s social calendar, it is addressed by an invited woman of substance, and accompanied by fun, frivolity, great food and lots of wine.

ENTERPRISE RELAY
The city’s zaniest networking event of the year, the not-at-all-serious corporate relay, sees people from across the employment spectrum, take to the obstacle course at Maritzburg College. The event attracts a sizable crowd that socialises and braais in the main arena while watching the proceedings.

LEAN CONFERENCE
The KZN Lean Conference is held annually to inspire the creation of thinking organizations that are agile, productive and competitive. It’s a 2 1/2 day event, the programme is designed to ensure that delegates learn new tools, new thinking and gain insights from other people’s experiences. How? We bring an internationally recognized Sensei out to teach new thinking, the conference features several local case studies to learn from and day 3 incorporates a Gemba at a local factory. An event with plenty of “aha”-moments that you definitely shouldn’t miss!

GOLF DAY
An annual outing much appreciated by golfers who love nothing better than to club, swing and putt their way around the picturesque Victoria Country Club course. The prize presentation and dinner formally concludes proceedings.

The PMCB Annual Banquet is a glamorous affair at which the Business Awards are presented. Accolades covering most business sectors are handed out. Guests enjoy outstanding cuisine and entertainment by top musicians, comedians, and speakers.

BIZZ-LINK NETWORK
Also known as the “early birders perch”, business people meet over coffee and muffins to promote their businesses in 90 seconds, look for opportunities, and listen to a quick-tip presentation on various topics by an expert.

LEAN FORUM
The forum that aims to develop thinking organisations, to reduce WIP and to eliminate waste of any kind, especially the kind that hobbles a business. With efficiency the mantra, the forum makes its mission to examine and investigate ways and means of working more productively and takes its counsel from experience all over the world.
