GUEST SPEAKER:
Carmen Westermeyer BCom (Honours Accounting) [UND] CA(SA)
Carmen Westermeyer qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004, having served articles with PwC in Durban, staying on for an extra year as Assistant Manager.
After a brief move into Commerce in 2006, she was appointed as a lecturer at UKZN in 2008, eventually taking over the role of Academic Leader for the Taxation Department, as well as the coordination of the Postgraduate Taxation Programme.
In 2014 she moved into commercial training and consulting on a full time basis with Maitland & Associates Incorporated. Carmen is a member of SAICA’ Eastern Region Council and the National Tax Operations Committee.
