Public Consultation Process – KZN Business Bill

The KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DEDTEA) is proposing to enact a new Business Bill, the “KwaZulu-Natal Business Bill.”
Amongst the various provisions, it provides for licensing, permitting and registration of all businesses operating in KZN, formal and informal. The full Bill can be accessed here.
The Bill has been tabled and approved in principle by the KZN Cabinet for the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs to consult with the relevant and affected stakeholders, as such an MEC Consultative Process has been undertaken throughout the Province. A consultative workshop in our area has been scheduled as follows:
