AARTO – the new Demerit System: Implementation & Implications for Individuals and Businesses
A representative from the KZN Road Traffic Inspectorate will advise on the implementation date and explain the implications of AARTO and how law enforcement will be executed in respect of driver / traffic infringements, with specific reference to the following:
• Points Demerit System;
• Common penalties;
• Electronic service;
• Infringement Appeals Tribunal;
• Repeal of court elections; and
• Driver rehabilitation programmes
The objective of the meeting is to capacitate and inform businesses of future developments on AARTO. Attendees will also be given an opportunity to raise questions, queries and concerns.
