Thirusha is a Certified Internal Auditor, Risk Manager, Business Accountant and Registered Tax Practitioner with a holistic understanding of business and the common misconceptions that exist. She has 19+ years’ experience in the public and private sectors.
OVERVIEW
Keeping a business running efficiently and effectively is key to continued growth. Efficiency and effectiveness come where there is structure and direction. This is essentially the role of internal controls. Internal Controls are incorporated into the Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPS”), the purposes of which are to minimise fraud and/or error, keep true to organisational vision and goals and, amongst others, allow for meticulous and accurate record keeping.
Strong SOPS has many significant advantages, the biggest of these being timesaving, cost efficiencies and managing SARS queries.
Another way to Maximise profits, Minimise losses.
