Panellists will discuss a series of questions put to them on their experiences and advice to leaders on the importance of understanding and developing Emotional Intelligence in the workforce. Questions from the floor will be welcomed.
ABOUT THE PANELLISTS :
Calum McComb: Industrial Psychologist
Calum is a registered Industrial Psychologist and Director of consulting firm PeopleSense. He has consulted extensively to large, medium and small businesses and specialises in talent management, psychometric assessments, coaching, career guidance, emotional intelligence and training. PeopleSense offers recruitment, assessment and development solutions that are specific to the needs of our clients. We believe that making PeopleSense from the beginning to the end of the talent life cycle is critical to driving success!
Sarah Alcock: Human Resources Manager
Sarah Alcock graduated from UKZN with a Social Science degree, majoring in Political science, Geography and Sociology, and an honours degree in 1994 in geography. Her career path took an HR path after a fulfilling working trip to the UK and Europe in 1995 and 1996. She has had 15 years’ experience working for a national recruitment agency where she managed a group of 10 high performance consultants for 13 of these years. For the past 4 years, Sarah has led a small HR team at WESSA, the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa, the largest and oldest environmental NGO in South Africa. One of her particular passions is around employee engagement in the workplace, and building intelligent teams.
