Presented by: Alistair Mork-Chadwick – Psychologist
WHAT WILL BE COVERED IN THE PRESENTATION?
Alistair’s presentation will give you a clearer understanding of mindfulness and emotional intelligence and how these impact leadership especially with regard to helping leaders find meaning in their own work while building trust with their people and motivating full engagement with their work.
Alistair draws on the latest neuroscience research and uses mindfulness to help individuals develop critical emotional intelligence (EI) skills and competencies. With mindfulness participants develop emotional intelligence skills such as heightened self-awareness and improved self management, and the ability to pay attention to present moment experience without any kind of negative emotional reactivity to what’s happening… even when feeling stressed. And, importantly, mindfulness is not just a concept, it’s a practice. So for high stress groups, like managers and others in leadership positions, Alistair focuses on very accessible techniques and practices, with low time constraints, that participants learn how to engage with on a daily basis.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Alistair is a registered Psychologist with master’s degrees in Environmental Science, Adult Education and Counselling Psychology. Alistair operates a private psychology practice and offers a full range of psychological services, including psychometric assessments, career guidance, and psychotherapy. He also offers organisations (and individuals) training in mindfulness and emotional intelligence. His passion for people and for education, together with his 25 years of experience in the field of training and development are clear to see when he facilitates his training programmes.Leadership
