Wall Calendar

The PMCB produces an attractive wall calendar for each of our members which includes details of key events, as well as our PMCB forums. There are 20 advertising spaces available.

The PMCB is in a unique position to facilitate business relationships. Its contacts are widespread and numerous, and successful facilitation has been achieved both with city businesses and between city businesses and others elsewhere.

The PMCB offers co-ordinated training in business skills to further the development of business insight. Training ranges from basic skills for inexperienced employees to training suitable for management. To view the programme click here.

The network of PMCB members offers extensive expertise which may be accessed directly, or through the PMCB office which is able to provide initial guidance and advice and subsequent linkage with an expert member.

ATA Carnets

An international customs facility enabling members to temporarily take merchandise samples overseas without paying customs duties. The PMCB advises members on application procedures and supplies the necessary forms.

Annual Banquet

The Banquet is a glamorous occasion at which we present our business awards.

Bizz-Link Network

This network can accommodate up to 24 companies and the programme is designed to provide a constructive networking opportunity.

Chamber Lunches

Chamber Lunches provide the opportunity to network with other members while enjoying a three-course meal. Three members have the opportunity of promoting their business at each lunch by giving a short presentation on the services their company has to offer.

Enterprise Relay

This is a fun filled business relay with the aim of bringing different businesses together in a relaxed informal environment.

Golf Day

The Golf Day provides an ideal opportunity to compete against colleagues and fellow business people.

Leadership Network

This forum deals with all aspects of leadership which are addressed by presentation and discussion.

Lean Conference

The PMCB hosts an annual Lean Conference with local and international speakers sharing their ideas on how to become a lean thinking company.

Small Business Network

This is a network and forum for small business people.

Industry Network

This is an initiative with the aim of gathering manufacturers and other interested chamber members.  These meetings are excellent opportunities for networking, sharing of experiences and knowledge as well as discussing industrialists concerns.

Women in Business Luncheon

This luncheon is held annually and is a popular function which celebrates the role women play in the business environment.

In its own right, the PMCB has made representation directly to a number of national bodies and government departments. Its intervention has influenced developments and benefited individual members, whose concerns have been taken up by the PMCB on their behalf.

In order to co-ordinate the ‘business voice’ the PMCB holds a series of forums such as People Management, Marketing Mix, Lean and NGO. In this way the PMCB provides the opportunity for members to contribute to its advocacy role. Relationships with municipalities are very strong and the ‘business voice’ is influential.
