Latest Salary Increase Trends
Lionel van Schalkwijk will present the latest salary and wage increase trends for 2016 and the factors influencing these increases in South Africa. For example the impact of equal pay for work of equal value on the business salary and wage bill and the meaning of “The Wage Gap”.
Social Media and the Workplace –
Should we be concerned?
Recently, as South Africans we have been exposed to a number of racially offensive remarks made through social media. Quite rightly we have been upset and alarmed at what we have read. What effect, if any, will these utterances have on our shop floor? And what should we do about these offensive remarks in our workplaces? Are they a set of once-off remarks or are these symptomatic of some deeper underlying scourge in our society? Les Owen will present on these questions.
Presented by : Lionel Van Schalkwijk & Les Owen
